20th – 24th July 2020
The fundraiser was started in 2017 by Phil Winnington, Managing Director of the Commercial Division at construction equipment manufacturer Winget Ltd. It’s an ‘Own Charity Run Event’ supported by friends, family, work colleagues and Hire Industry Associates, and is back for its fourth year but a little different! 2020 is a year few will forget and whilst we may have distanced, we’ve found new ways to become closer. This year Phil invites MORE people to ‘Run, Ride, Romp or Raise’ with him at least 5km over the week in person (at 2M distance) or wherever you are in the World. Just send Phil a photo so you can be added to the daily collage, please email him by clicking here.
The aim is once again to run five 5km runs on five consecutive days (hence 5-a-Day) totalling 25km, only this time for a truly special cause – The British Lung Foundation, commemorating the 1st anniversary of George Seddon’s passing and to all those who suffer any form of Lung Disease, as Phil does myself.
As the only UK charity looking after the nation’s lungs. The British Lung Foundation are making sure that one day everyone will breathe clean air with healthy lungs. They are also actively providing support and information relating to coronavirus COVID-19, which is prevalent in so many countries across the world including the UK.
The 5 days of 5K’s starts on Monday 20th July and finishes on Friday 24th July 2020 and Phil invites everybody to join him on any day to ‘Run, Ride, Romp and Raise’ money for this important cause.
